Gone Fishin'

We took Ashley fishing at a park this weekend. And when I say fishing, I really mean we fed the fish. They took all the bait so no catch for us, but it was still fun. Ashley was perfectly content just casting the rod and reeling it in. She eventually gave up and left Eric to fish on his own. He looked pretty silly fishing with the Dora pole. Too bad I didn't get a shot of that.

Preston is doing great, getting really big. As you can see, he is filling out quite nicely- he can hardly fit in this seat anymore!

Putting Things In Perspective

I came across this blog and I wanted to share it. It is heart wrenching and sometimes hard to read. It is written by a man whose wife died suddenly, just hours after the birth of their baby. I cannot read it without tearing up, and the first time I found it and read through all of the entries, tears were streaming down my face. It is now a blog that I read on a regular basis. He blogs everyday and his emotion is so raw- he is so honest with his readers. His situation has really made me think about how fortunate I am, and how much most of us take for granted.

The Face of Teething

We are in full-fledged teething mode here. This week has been especially rough for Preston. His bottom two teeth have finally popped through. Lots of fussiness and not a lot of sleep. Ashley didn't get hers until after her first birthday so this is different for us. Thankfully he's such a happy baby when his teeth aren't bothering him.
